Tečaj iz matematike: Pomoč pri (La)TeXu

Za vnašanje zapiskov bomo uporabljali (La)TeX. Datoteko lahko pripravite v poljubnem urejevalniku besedil (npr. Notepad, Vi, Emacs, Edt, celo Word), vendar pa morate datoteko shraniti v tekstovni (ascii) obliki, če ne uporabljate tekstovni urejevalnik.

Kmalu bo tule na voljo prvi vzorec.

Kje dobimo (La)TeX?

TeXCeH, slovensko združenje uporabnikov je organiziralo nabavo kompletov treh zgoščenk TeX-Live3 CD-Rom s celotnim arhivom (CTAN) (distributed by TUG (TeX Users Group) http://www.tug.org/texlive.html. Ne boste verjeli toda zgoščenke so že na voljo v naši knjižnici, tako da si boste sedaj zares z lahkoto namestili (La)TeX na domačih računalnikih z MS Windows-i. Prek Interneta pa glejte

za DOS vzemite EmTeX ter sledite njihova navodila,
za Windows pa je na voljo standardna verzija LaTeX-a MikTeX.
(It is command-line driven in the most part and does not run in Windows 3.1.)

About the best editor that I have found for creating TeX files in this environment is Aleksander Simonic's Winedt. Unlike the above, this is a shareware product, and comes configures especially for MikTeX. For those who want to use this editor with EmTeX but who don't want to do too much configuring themselves, there is a file emte xcfg.zip allowing their combined use. I am not especially happy with this setup, but it is easier than having to configure it all yourself. Finally, about the best screen previewer available is Dviwin.
